Femi Razaq Sobowale is a middle aged man with high sense of humor, responsible and a team worker wherever he finds himself, and relate with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds without exception or discrimination.
He is the current Assistant Secretary General of the association, the position he is holding since 2018, on a second term. As a journalist and writer he is using his experience to work at the national secretariat diligently with incumbent Secretary General with a view to ensuring that the association is well coordinated for the tasks ahead. Mr. Sobowale also served the national body as a member of the social committee for the preparation during 2018 ENA national convention in Denver, Colorado. He is from Ikija section in Abeokuta North local government area, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Having attained secondary and tertiary education both in Nigeria and the United States, Mr. Sobowale has the necessary tools to assist the national body to a greater heights in its
concerted efforts to develop the entire Egbaland from the Diaspora.
Under his local chapter, The Olumo Progressive Association NY/NJ, he serves in the executive committee as the incumbent Secretary General (2021 to date), having been the Social Secretary from 2016 to 2021. At his job with the City of New York, Mr. Sobowale works in the medical field with the Health and Hospitals Corporation as a Behavioral Health Associate using therapeutic approaches to assist patients' quick recovery from behavioral various health issues, and working closely with other health care professionals including nurses and psychiatrists. In business, he is a licensed New York State Real Estate Agent, while doing auto dealerships, exporting/shipping to West Africa with more emphasis on the Nigerian market.
A devout Muslim, and an executive member of Tajul-Huda, Imole Adinni Islamic Organization of New York where he is the Secretary General (2013 to date). Mr. Femi Razaq Sobowale is happily married with grown up children including registered nurses, accountant and an engineer.
